CardioThera™ supports cardiovascular function in several ways to address multifactorial issues often seen in clinical practice. Because some patients need a more aggressive approach to nutritional supplementation than a daily vitamin and mineral insurance program, CardioThera™ includes the most active, bioavailable forms of folate and vitamin B12 plus betaine which act as methyl donors to support the methylation process and help maintain the normal metabolism of homocysteine. L-carnitine carries fatty acids into the mitochondria cells of heart and skeletal muscle for use in energy production to help keep the heart working efficiently. Policosanol is a unique plant extract, derived from sugar cane wax, that supports cholesterol metabolism and platelet function while the potent antioxidant resveratrol helps prevent lipid peroxidation, thus helping to protect cardiovascular tissues from oxidative damage. By selecting nutritional compounds that deliver significant benefit using a relatively small amount of material, we were able to formulate CardioThera™ into just two vegetarian capsules daily while providing substantial nutritional support for the cardiovascular system in an affordable form.
